Visitors, observers, and participants from all academic fields are welcome to the UNI Child Development Center. Most often, students from UNI's College of Education complete a variety of experiences in the classrooms. Around 60 practicum students participate each month at the UNI CDC.
Most often, observers and participants are directed to the center from faculty members of UNI or other institutions. These participants are expected to wash hands upon arrival, sign in on the designated attendance sheet, and communicate with the classroom teacher. Visitors, observers, and participants are not counted in the child/teacher ratios nor can be left alone with the children at any time. Field experience students are required to complete a background check and fingerprinting before being in the classroom.
The following forms are to be completed before participation in the classroom.
